Indonesia Sends Humanitarian Aid To Rohingya People

JAKARTA -- The government of Indonesia on Wednesday dispatched a total of 34 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Rohingya refugees, China's Xinhua news agency reported.

Indonesian President Joko Widodo said it was the first out of three batches to be provided to those affected by the conflict in Rakhine State of Myanmar.

The aid comprises instant meals, rice, water tanks, family kits and tents, said the president.

Two more batches are planned to be sent next week, said the president.
