Ex-S’pore Narcotics Bureau Chief Charged with Graft over Oral Sex

Pix: Wong Kwai ChowPix: Wong Kwai ChowSINGAPORE: Former Central Narcotics Bureau chief Ng Boon Gay (pic) has been charged with four counts of corruptly obtaining sexual favors from a woman, who was a sales manager of two IT vendors.

Local television Channel News Asia (CNA) reported Ng allegedly had oral sex with Cecilia Sue Siew Nang on four occasions, between June and December 2011.

In exchange, he would further the business interests of the two IT companies, Hitachi Data Systems and Oracle Corporation Singapore, in their dealings with the CNB.

CNA said Ng pleaded not guilty to all four charges.

He is represented by Senior Counsel Tan Chee Meng and Melanie Ho from Wong Partnership.

Ng is out on a S$10,000 bail and will be back in court on June 26.

The Corrupt Practices Investigations Bureau arrested 45-year-old Ng Boon Gay on Dec 19, 2001 under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

The government scholar was suspended on Jan 25, pending disciplinary proceedings.
