JAKARTA: Fourteen people were killed by uprooted trees during storms which struck several areas on the islands of Java and Bali since Wednesday, according to Indonesia's National Board for Disaster Management (BNPB).

The storms, which hit all the provinces on the two islands, also injured 60 people and destroyed 2,364 houses, it said.

BNPB said the storms were triggered by Tropical Cyclone Iggy south of Nusa Tenggara and Bali, which has since weakened and moved away from Indonesia.
