Damansara Utama Assemblyman Hurt in Accident PDF Print

SHAH ALAM, 13 MARCH 2010: Damansara Utama assemblyman Dr Cheah Wing

Yin fractured both his legs and the little finger on his right hand when he was
involved in an accident at the Batu Tiga toll plaza here today.

Selangor Public Order and Traffic chief Supt Che Husin Omar, when contacted
by Bernama, said in the 10am incident, said Dr Cheah's four-wheel drive (4WD)
suddenly broke down about 300m from the SmartTag lane at the toll plaza.

He said the DAP assemblyman then got down and was heading to the rear of the
vehicle when another 4WD knocked into him and his 4WD.

"Initial investigations found the driver of the other vehicle had tried to
avoid him but failed to make it in time.

"Dr Cheah was rushed to the Sunway Medical Centre for treatment. Both
vehicles were badly damaged," he said, adding that the driver of the other
vehicle was unhurt.

Witnesses are urged to contact the traffic division of the Shah Alam police
headquarters to assist investigations.
