Police Charge Australian Man Over Weapons After IS-Inspired Plane Plot

MELBOURNE: An Australian man who was detained during raids to disrupt what authorities described as an Islamic State-inspired plot to bomb an Etihad Airways flight has been charged with weapons offences and released on bail, police said on Sunday.

Venezuela Arrests Over 'Uprising Attempt'

Arrests have been made in Venezuela after soldiers tried to launch an uprising against President Nicolás Maduro.
An attack was launched against a military barracks in Valencia in the north-western Carabobo state.
Two attackers were killed and at least eight were arrested, Mr Maduro said.
