Othman Hassan, 52, better known in local entertainment circles as Dicky, was found dead in the master bedroom of his home in Kampung Kasipillay, Sentul, under mysterious circumstances.

His hands and feet were bound with a pink-coloured curtain tie while there were strangulation marks on his neck.

However, KL police chief Datuk Ku Chin Wah said police have ruled out any involvement of foul play in his death, as they believe that this was a result of a 'sex game gone wrong.'

"We are looking into the possibility that the victim and his male partner had engaged in bondage sex," he said, adding that the authorities were still looking for his partner.

Dicky was found dressed in a spaghetti-strap top and shorts. His body was found by his brother, who had gone to the house after failing to contact Dicky numerous times.

The house's front door was unlocked but the door to the master bedroom was locked from inside.

It is understood that the victim is believed to have died around 24 hours before he was discovered. Police sources claim that when the body was found at 9am, it was already in a bloated condition.

He is believed to have died from accidental suffocation or heart failure.

It is also learnt that some of the victim's belongings, such as a laptop and cell phone, were missing.

Meanwhile, Dicky's death shocked many within the entertainment circle, and the deceased's house was filled with family members and mourners yesterday.

Bahasa Malaysia daily Kosmo! had interviewed Razman Razmi, a wedding planner who had known Dicky for more than 15 years. Razman said Dicky was a good friend and always had an easygoing nature.

"One of our mutual friends was the last person to see him alive. We last saw him the day before at 3pm. After that, I as well as several of his family members tried to call him to no avail.

"His elder brother became worried and decided to come to the house and check. That was when he discovered the body," said Razman.

It is understood that apart from being a makeup artist, Dicky also owned a clothing line, called Dicky Collection, which operated from the house.

Dicky is best known for his work in the 1990s on celebrities such as Amy Mastura, Ziana Zain and Nasha Aziz.

It is learnt that of late, his work mostly involved bridal couples and a select clientele who required a makeup artiste for events.

An autopsy report is expected to be completed soon.
