The Japanese giant console and game maker, Nintendo has confirmed the release of Nintendo 3DS XL with 4.88 Inches top screen and 4.18-inches for the bottom screen. More than 1-inch larger compares with the previous Nintendo 3DS, 3.53-inches and 3.02-Inches.

It’s a good thing that Nintendo hasn’t given us a long time to wait for a new system.

The 3DS XL will launch in the U.S. on Aug. 19 for $199.99. It will launch in red and blue hues that are decidedly more muted than the hyper-glossy colors of the original model. The European market wins out though, as the XL launches on July 28 and debuts in silver as well as red and blue. The Japanese will see the launch of the same system, where it is dubbed the 3DS LL, on the same day.

No news yet on the resolutions of the new 3DS XL.
