Sergio 'Kun' Aguero is already a legend for Manchester City although the Argentina international striker only joined the Citizens from Spanish club Atletico Madrid last season.

The City fans love him so much, especially after that dramatic winner four minutes into stoppage time in the very last match against Queens Park Rangers after a move with Mario Balotelli to steer City to their first league triumph after 44 years.

Aguero was also voted by the fans as City's 'Player of the Year' for his contributions to the club. This is a great honor to the Diego Maradona's son-in-law as City have so many quality players in the squad to begin with.

Sergio_AgueroHe appreciates this gesture and wants to produce a much better job in the new season. And he is more than capable of achieving this – armed with his talent and the experience of playing in the English Premier League for one season.

He is set to be deadlier.

Aguero (right) was part of City squad who ended their Asian tour with a 3-1 win over Malaysia at Bukit Jalil Stadium last night in front of 55,000 fans.

So guess who was the star of the match?

Aguero lah, hands down.

He put the fans under his spell in the 17th minute when he waltzed past defenders Aidil Zafuan Abdul Razak and Bunyamin Omar to strike with a deft flick to put City 1-0 up. He had one attempt earlier hit the woodwork.

He also made the assists  to the goals by fellow Argentine Carlos Tevez and Adam Johnson in the 47th and 51st minutes.

For the record, Malaysia's consolation goal was scored by substitute Azamuddin Mohd Akhil.

Aguero can be considered as an out-and-out striker although he can also operate as a back-up like he did at times with  Atletico when Fernando Torres or Diego Forlan was acting as the main one.

The 5ft 8in tall and stocky Aguero possesses agility, acceleration and strength. He is also sharp, clever and superb with his close control and strength to keep the ball to trouble defenders.

He is also been described by many admirers as a 'menace in the box'.

lionel_messi7Fellow Argentine and Barcelona attacker Lionel Messi (left), meanwhile, describes  Aguero as having immense power, strength and an incredible work ethic.

El Loco has written several times as to why Aguero has this unique nickname ''Kun', which does not sound Latin.

Okay, to refresh, this nickname was given by his grandparents. It came about due his resemblance to the ever-smiling cave-boy Japanese cartoon character 'Kum Kum' which Aguero loved to watch on TV when he was a child.

The grandparents gave him the nomenclature 'Kun' and it stuck!

Before watching the match between Malaysia and City last night, El Loco had the opportunity to observe the English Premier League champions having a training stint on Sunday. It was entertaining with Tevez seemed to be the most playful among the players.

Aguero?

He received the most cheers by the fans. Don't know whether they have been City fans for a long time or just recently, though.

Anyway, it's interesting to note that City Italian manager Roberto Mancini also joined the sessions and showed his skills together with assistant David Platt.

Whatever, it seems City are working towards playing to a more passing game and possession for their campaign in the new season – if based on this training session and the Malaysia match.

What will Alex Ferguson and Manchester United do next? No comments.

There were some United fans at the stadium last night ad there was naturally some commotion.

El Loco wore a light blue and white jersey at the stadium yesterday. But then, it was not City but Argentina.

Adios!
