Chong Wei Turns Up At DSA Exhibition

KUALA LUMPUR: The sudden presence of national badminton singles player Datuk Lee Chong Wei at DSA and NATSEC 2018 exhibition at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Center (MITEC) here caused a stir among trade visitors who took the opportunity to pose for pictures with him.

Lee who is the Honorary Commander of the Royal Malaysian Navy Volunteers Reserve unit arrived at the grand foyer at 12.20pm and had heads turning when he walked in with his full military attire.

There was a lot of excitement among the crowd when they saw him and many didn’t want to loose the chance to snap pictures with him.

The crowd flocked around Lee, with fans taking turns to snap selfies with the badminton gold medal winner at the Gold Coast Commenwealth Games recently in Australia.

Earlier, the arrival of Chong Wei was welcomed by Commander of the RMN Admiral Tan Sri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin and Defence Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein.

Some of the foreign exhibitors who recognised him also approached to take photos with him while he was on his two hours walkabout at the defence and security exhibition.
