altASTERDAM: Holland playmaker Wesley Sneijder has controversially said that he believes there is a mole in the Dutch camp leaking team tactics as he relinquished coach Bert van Marwijk of all blame following their humiliating group-stage elimination at Euro 2012.

After the Dutch suffered their worst showing in history in an international finals where they went home without a single point, many had called for van Marwijk to be relieved of his duties, but Sneijder has given his coach his full support.

"We can't blame the coach for this, he did a great job for us in the last four years," said Sneijder.

"But there are some issues in the team that have to be solved first, like the player who is leaking to the press our tactical plans before matches."

Meanwhile, Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong
feels  there is no need for Holland players to say sorry following their disappointing Euro 2012 campaign.

The Dutch FA also declared their full support for van Marwijk but reports in Holland suggest that his future remains in the balance.

However,
De Jong insists the players did their utmost and have no reason to feel remorse.

"No, I don't think we should offer our apologies. We all went out on the pitch with the intention to win," he told NUsport.

"Losing is part of football, too. You have to be able to see things in perspective. You only apologise if you've done something with a bunch of friends that you shouldn't have done. Or when you're having an argument with your wife.

"You don't have to apologise for losing a game. Things like that simply happen. We all did our best."
