YIDE To Contribute RM900,000 Aidilfitri Aid To Orphans In Selangor, Melaka

MELAKA -- The Darul Ehsan Islamic Foundation (YIDE) has allocated RM900,000 to be contributed to about 8,000 orphans in Selangor and Melaka in conjunction with Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year.

Selangor Islamic Religious Council (MAIS) chairman Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi said the donations would be distributed to the orphans in stages during the month of Ramadan to help them prepare for the Aidilfitri celebration

“YIDE through MAIS has been entrusted by the Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah to distribute donations to orphans from within and outside of Selangor if there is a need.

“YIDE remains committed to helping this group especially in Selangor and the Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Orphanage (RAYSAAS) in Melaka,” he told reporters after the handing over ceremony of Aidilfitri donations to 60 orphans of the RAYSAAS in Tanjung Kling, here today.

The donations worth 18,000 were presented by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Present were Melaka Islamic Religious Council deputy chairman cum RAYSAAS chairman Datuk Yaakub Md Amin and RAYSAAS manager Maznah Abdul.
