Mercy Flight For Ailing Orang Asli Girl In Gua Musang

GUA MUSANG -- The Fire and Rescue Department flew out an Orang Asli girl who suffered breathing difficulties due to high fever from Kampung  Chemal in Pos Simpor for treatment at the Gua Musang Hospital today.

Its Air Unit public relations officer at the Subang air base, Mohd Farhan Marzuki said Suzilin Arisan, three, was brought out from the village located in the interior of Gua Musang via the mercy flight at 10.40am.

“The mercy flight, using AW139 helicopter from the Bertam airbase in Penang, arrived at Kampung Chemal at 10.20am and flew the girl, accompanied by her mother to the Gua Musang Fire and Rescue Station compound,” he said when contacted today.

Mohd Farhan said the girl and her mother arrived at the station’s compound about 10.40am before they were sent to the hospital via an ambulance.

He added the mercy flight followed a request from the Orang Asli Development Department in Gombak.
