Tunnel Project: Two Penang Excos Called By MACC

KUALA TERENGGANU: Two Penang state executive councillors have been called by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)  to facilitate in the Penang undersea tunnel project probe.

MACC chief commissioner Tan Sri Dzulkifli Ahmad said no arrest was made, so far.

"We hope that all quarters will give us room to carry out a thorough investigation,” he told reporters after witnessing the signing of the Corruption Free Pledge (IBR) by the Terengganu government, led by its Menteri Besar  Datuk Seri Ahmad Razif Abd Rahman here yesterday.

Yesterday, Penang Public Works, Utility and Transport Committee chairman Lim Hock Seng was at the MACC office to give his statement on the matter while Prof Dr P. Ramasamy, who is the state Economic Planning,  Education and Human Resources, Science, Technology and Innovation Committee chairman was called earlier today.
