Five growth areas have been planned for Perlis to transform it into a developed state by 2030, said Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Azlan Man.
He said the five areas covered the whole state, namely Kangar, Kuala Perlis, Padang Besar, Arau and Sungai Perlis/Kuala Sanglang.
"The projects will have a long-term impact and benefits for the state and nation," Azlan said.
He was speaking at a press conference held after presenting grants for the Bumiputra Micro Entrepreneur Development Programme (MCash) and the Dana Mudahcara [email protected] Programme here today.
A total of 13 food, health, spa products, hair salon, launderette, computer outlets, design and printing entrepreneurs received MCash grants totaling RM301,670.
They were awarded grants worth between RM13,000 and RM30,000 each.
