KOTA KINABALU: The trial against 30 people who were linked to the Lahad Datu intrusion is fixed next year starting January 6.High Court judge Stephen Chung set the trial dates during the case management at the Sabah Prisons Department headquarters here, today.
The trial periods are from January 6 to 10, January 15 to 17, Jan 27 to 30, and February 10 and 14.
December 15 this year has been set to file agreed facts and issues by both parties.
Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail is leading a prosecution team of six, while Datuk N Sivananthan is the lead counsel for 27 of the defendants.
The other counsels were Kamaruddin Mohmad Chinki, Rowiena Rasid and Abdul Gani Zulika.
Abdul Gani when met after the closed door proceedings when asked about the update on the number of witnesses, replied, “I can't confirm with you now, it might go up or down (from the 50 witnesses mentioned before)."
