Police Believe Bus Driver May Have Raped Three More Primary School Girls | Print |

KUALA LUMPUR, 29 JULY, 2010: A school bus driver who was detained while trying to rape a primary school girl in Petaling Jaya on Monday, is believed to have raped another three girls from the same school.

Petaling Jaya police chief ACP Arjunaidi Mohamed said the three girls were believed to have been raped on different days while the school bus driver was sending them home.

"Police investigations revealed that the three school girls from the primary school, one aged 10, was raped by the 51-year-old man, inside the school bus while sending her home," he told Bernama when contacted today.

He said police were recording statements from the three victims to assist police in the investigations.

"We are finding a little difficulty in recording statements from the girls as they are not able to clearly describe the incident," he said.

The man was detained at 12.45pm on July 26 by a teacher with the help of the public while attempting to rape a Standard Four school girl inside the bus which was parked along the road.

Police learnt that after picking up the girls from school, he would target his victim who would be the last to be sent home and before sending her back, he would stop in a secluded spot where the victim would be raped.

Meanwhile, in another incident at Kelana Jaya involving a school van driver, police are still looking for a man who tried to molest a 12-year-old girl in a school van while sending her to additional class in her school.

During the incident, the girl managed to escape the man's clutches by running out of the van.

Arjunaidi said the man has gone into hiding as he was not in his house when police arrived.
