SHAH ALAM, 10 MARCH, 2010: The inquest to the death of political aide Teoh Beng Hock resumes today at the Shah Alam Court.
By 10am, the Coroner’s Court was filled with reporters where Selangor government’s lawyer Malik Imtiaz Sarwar was seen talking to AG Chambers' lawyer Tan Hock Chuan.
Political aide Teoh Beng Hock's death inquest is still ongoing. The courtsets April 20 for Dr Pornthip Rojanansunand's cross-examination andApril 26 and 27 for Dr Peter Vanesiz on the second autopsy.
The Teoh family arrives just in time for the court hearing.
Abdul Razak then asked whether Teoh's leg injuries are indication of defensive wounds and Shahidan said that the red band marks around neck does not correspond to internal injuries of Teoh's neck area. Shahidan maintained that although there were pressure wound on Teoh's neck, there were no signs of asphyxia. He also affirmed that the cause of anal injury was due to the severity of the fall, not insertion of foreign object.
"In my opinion, the deceased was conscious the whole time, before and after the fall," said Shahidan.
Abdul Razak said that he wants the pathologists from the first autopsy to testify again. in which Tan sayid he will consider if need arises.
The court has set April 20 for Dr Pornthip Rojanansunand's cross-examination and April 26 and 27 for Dr Peter Vanesiz on the second autopsy.
