Political aide Teoh Beng Hock's death inquest is still ongoing. The court
sets April 20 for Dr Pornthip Rojanansunand's cross-examination and
April 26 and 27 for Dr Peter Vanesiz on the second autopsy.

The Teoh family arrives just in time for the court hearing.

Sungai Buloh Hospital pathologist Dr Shahidan Md Noor who was being cross-examined by MACC lawyer Abdul Razak Musa was asked Shahidan whether his conclusion of Teoh's death remains the same. Shahidan maintained that cause of death is due to fall from height.

Abdul Razak then asked whether Teoh's leg injuries are indication of defensive wounds and Shahidan said that the red band marks around neck does not correspond to internal injuries of Teoh's neck area. Shahidan maintained that although there were pressure wound on Teoh's neck, there were no signs of asphyxia. He also affirmed that the cause of anal injury was due to the severity of the fall, not insertion of foreign object.

Later on, Malik suggested improper use of word "sodomy" to describe what happened. Abdul Razak rephrased his following questions by proceeding his cross-examination with the term "cause of anal injury".

"In my opinion, the deceased was conscious the whole time, before and after the fall," said Shahidan.

The AG's Chambers' lawyer Tan was next to cross-examine Shahidan.

Abdul Razak said that he wants the pathologists from the first autopsy to testify again. in which Tan sayid he will consider if need arises.

Malik said that the "exhumation would not have been made in the first place had first autopsy been sufficient."

Afterwards, coroner Azmil Munthapa Abas also said he will call the pathologists if the need arises.

The court has set April 20 for Dr Pornthip Rojanansunand's cross-examination and April 26 and 27 for Dr Peter Vanesiz on the second autopsy.

Teoh, 30, the political secretary to Selangor executive council member Ean Yong Hian Wah, was found dead the morning after he was taken to the state Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) office in Plaza Masalam here for questioning on July 15 last year over alleged irregularity in disbursement of funds.
