Prince Charles Meets Media Executives To Mark 150th Year Of UK's Press Association

LONDON -- The Prince of Wales, Charles met media executives, including the Chairman of the Board of Azerbaijan State News Agency (AZERTAC), Aslan Aslanov, during a ceremony here to mark the 150th anniversary of United Kingdom's Press Association (PA), reported AZERTAC.

Held at the Tate Britain, the event brought together heads and representatives of a number of international news agencies, including UK's Reuters, US’ Associated Press, Russia's TASS, Turkey's Anadolu, Italy's ANSA, TT of Sweden (Chair of the European Alliance of News Agencies (EANA), Agerpress of Romania, BTA of Bulgaria, PAP of Poland, ANA/MPA of Greece, as well as media representatives from the UK.

PA Group CEO, and president of the News Agencies World Council (NACO), Clive Marshall in his remarks highlighted the hailed the progress of the media in the past century and the role of technological innovations in media development.

Meanwhile, the heads of news agencies were also informed of the international events that had been held in Azerbaijan, as well as the Baku International Humanitarian Forum scheduled for this October.
