Integrity Institute Welcomes Commitment From Prasarana

KUALA LUMPUR -- The Malaysian Institute of Integrity today welcomed the requirement set by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) for its employees to declare every overseas trip to confirm that all the costs were borne by themselves and not by any third party.

Its president and chief executive officer, Datuk Dr Anis Yusal Yusoff said the commitment shown by Prasarana was a good example of establishing a stringent and comprehensive internal control mechanism to prevent corruption and abuse of power.

He believed that the constructive approach would contribute to the company and country.

"Therefore, I hope that other agencies will emulate this approach. We are confident that it will help in building a community and country with high integrity," he said in a statement.
