Former Lecturer Claims Bullying Is A Norm, Students Being Sodomised And Asked To Perform Oral Sex

A total of 36 individuals are in police custody, with more expected to be apprehended, in relations to the harrowing demise of National Defense University of Malaysian (UPNM) student, Zulfarhan Osman Zulkarinain that occurred last Thursday following an alleged abuse.

The 21-year-old UPNM Sea Cadet officer died at the Serdang Hospital, with his body covered in bruises and burns from the gruesomely torture that he endured after he was accused of stealing a laptop that belonged to a fellow student.

Datuk Abdul Samah Mat, the Selangor Chief of Police, told Bernama that his end has yet to receive any filed complaints in relation to the theft and abuse involving other UPNM students.

But yesterday, an anonymous source revealed to Malaysian Gazette that bullying and ragging incidences are a norm amongst the students of UPNM.

The former UPNM lecturer (the source) unveiled the shocking reality that the raging culture amongst military people has been inherited from the British era – that’s still being practiced to this day – on the grounds to teach every soldier to be subservient and obedient to their leaders.

The source added that the vile ‘tradition’ has resulted to the demise of Zulfarhan, but what’s more shocking is that he has heard complaints and cases involving sodomy, oral sex and beating during his tenure at the university.

“The student’s complaints on oral sex, sodomy and many more is considered a norm,” the former lecturer shared, and revealed that most complaints are hidden from the public as students are trained to obey the commands, and to not relay such incidences back to their respective parents.

“One of my students, a smart boy who achieved a near 3.8 CGPA, was brutally beaten in 2014.

“The beating caused a nerve malfunction in his brain, and he is now regarded as a Person With Disabilities (PWDs) as he’s not able to learn due to his damaged brain nerves.”

Though prior to Zulfarhan’s death, his father Zulkarnain Idrus told Harian Metro that he saw burn marks on his chest, arms and legs inflicted by iron steam.

Zulfarhan’s case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code, with 36 of the detained individuals are students of UPNM and UNITEN aged between 20 to 21 years old.

The detainees will be remanded for seven days until this Friday.
