Uber Eats Driver Delivered Meal Then Killed Customer

An UberEats driver had allegedly shot and killed a customer after completing a delivery.

The incident which occurred in Atlanta, USA, on Saturday at 11.30pm, reportedly happened when the 30-year-old male victim was walking away from the driver after receiving his order.

“As the victim was walking away, it appears words may have been exchanged between he and the delivery driver.

“Shots were apparently fired from the delivery vehicle, striking the victim," the police said, as reported by CNN.

The victim, who was in critical condition after sustaining gunshot wound, was then rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital but later died.

In light of the incident, Uber Eats released a statement expressing their shock and condolences to the family of the victim.

"We are shocked and saddened by this news. We are working with Atlanta Police, and our hearts go out to the families of those involved,” the statement said.

The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a white Volkswagen and no arrest have been made at the moment.
