KWANDENGEZI, South Africa: It’s early in the morning and 90-year-old Thumekile Mthiyane is making her daily 2 km (1 mile) walk along dirt roads snaking through crop fields and the hills of rural KwaZulu-Natal, a province on South Africa’s east coast.
